Digital Storytelling

This week our assingment was making a digital storytelling in pairs. My partner in this project was Edanur Özer. For me, it was the most difficult task that we had so far. It was time-consuming. We had to choose a topic, prepare cartoons and the characters and so forth. Other than that, in this assigment we were supposed to write a script. To tell the truth, it was not very easy. In addition, recording our voice was the most challenging part because we had to find a suitable (noiceless) place. Taking video was also challenging. On the other hand, we had so much fun in this process. We draw pictures and used variety of colorful pastels to paint them and cut them like children :) As a result, this assignment was required a creativity so, in the future I will absolutely give this task to my students to enhance their creativity.

Here is our digital storytelling;

I also prepared a "wordle" project to identify our digital storytelling. If you want to create "wordle" you can do it easily by visiting wordle.

I have never done this before -creating a wiki page- so I really enjoyed this project and I discovered new webpage. As a future teacher, I must always discover new things. A Story Podcasting

Hi everyone!

I am going to mention about our podcasting project. This week our teacher gave us an assignment about podcasting and I worked with Eda in this project. We decided that make a story podcasting because making a funny story is something good for us but at the same it requires creative imagination. Because of working in pairs, we could collaborate with each other in creating a story. At first we wrote a transcription of the story and then recorded our voice. We had some difficulties on the podcasting process. For instance, we had to record our vioce but we did not have the silent and empty space so we had to make recording in class. Being empty and big, classes make echoing our voice. This was trouble for us. Moreover, creating funny story is also difficult. Making laugh someone is require a special ability. On the other hand, podcasting have some advantages for us. For example, when we recorded our voice we noticed that the words which were mispronounsed and then we tried to correct our pronunciation. So it is some kind of opportunity for correcting pronunciation. What is more, we had to write a kind of sketch in English. This is improve our imagination and use of the target language in different field. As a result, I will absolutely use podcasting with my own students in the future. So it is here;
